We’re proud to launch the official Netherlands University Presses (NUPs) LinkedIn page and share our first post about this big win: Open Science NL and NWO have awarded grants to two key projects advancing Diamond Open Access (DOA) publishing, with NUPs at the heart.
In Scaling Small in NL, university-led publishers from Delft, Groningen, Maastricht, Nijmegen, and Tilburg are building a shared metadata system with Thoth, OAPEN Foundation, DOAB, and Open Book Collective to boost the discoverability of diamond OA books.
The second project, Infrastructures for Diamond Open Access in the Netherlands, unites UNL, UKB, SURF, NUPs, and Openjournals.nl around open-source tech, FAIR principles, and community governance.
Building on this summer’s NUPs establishment grant by OSNL, these steps solidify a sustainable DOA ecosystem in the Netherlands.
